Last weekend Aug. 8th

What’s up in „ Good old Germany“? I’m doing really well.

The last week’s were filled out with a lot of excitements, fun and a lot of new friends. This keeps me pretty busy. We’ve found a new location which is like our “Champions”- but cheaper.:0) And we meet a whole bunch of people there. Last weekend was so awesome. We were chatting with some Guy’s and suddenly the whole Wake Forest University Basketball Team showed up at the Club! Even the Girl’s team and they all had worn basketball tricots. After I’ve told someone, that I play basketball  and just like that I got a whole bunch of new friends!:0) I came home the next morning, belief it or not at 6:00 a.m. I had to get up at 10:a.m. because we’ve planned to go to a Lake close to Winston. Usually they don’t have any publics Lake where you can go swimming. Finally we found one and by the time we arrived there we determine, that the Lake had already closed for this summer. We found a spot to sit and had a little Picnic before we’d decided to drive back home and go swimming in the neighborhood pool. That’s pretty much is so far.

I do have some other news.  Last week I went to the office to get an American ID. Unfortunately the officer told me that my Visa was expired and they can’t give me an ID. That made me insecure. After I had checked my Visa twice I had to acknowledge, that the officer was right about this. So I called my agency to ask them if I need any other papers to prove, that I’m not illegal. The Lady which I had spoken was very surprised when I told her my concern. My agency had totally forgotten to send me a new J-1 form. That paper is very important and goes together with my Visa. Finally I got the paper today and I’ll try again to get my American ID. 

I have to tell you the best story ever! I still can not belief it. We were on the way to a nice place to sit and talk. We had some beverages with us to make the walk nicer . The first thing is that you are not allowed to drink if you are under 21 years. And the second infringement was, that we sipped it in the public. Of course we’ve met the police at this night. And honestly I was a little afraid. But without joking, the two police officers thought it is more important to talk about everything else with us instead telling us that we did something against the law. They even invited us to a BBQ at their house and gave us their phone number to call them.  It was so funny! Of course we took advantage to take a picture with our new “friends”.
